Rule 6
Conduct and adjournment of meetings

(1) The meeting of the National Assembly shall be held on the days specified by the President, taking into account the work load of the Assembly, subject to this regulation. However, unless the Assembly passes a resolution and determines otherwise, the difference between the time of one meeting and the time of another meeting shall not exceed seven days. (2) The meeting of the National Assembly shall normally begin at eleven o'clock, unless otherwise ordered by the Speaker. However, if the meeting cannot be started within one hour of the time when the meeting was called, the Speaker shall adjourn the meeting and notify another meeting. (3) To hold the meeting for any reason. If there is a change in the specified day, time or program, a notice along with the reason will be posted on the notice board of the National Assembly and the related information will also be given to the members through electronic communication. All members shall be deemed to have received the information given in that manner. (4) The chairman shall announce the commencement and adjournment of each meeting. (5) The presence of the minister in the meeting shall be mandatory and in the case of discussion on matters related to any ministry, the relevant minister shall also be present. (6) Conducting the meeting. Officials of all parties represented in the National Assembly will assist.
